Who we are

Learntova is operated by Fivorana LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. We decide how your personal data is used, and we are the organisation you contact about it: [email protected].

You can learn without an account

The free foundation lessons, knowledge checks and practice work without signing in. Drafts you type as a guest stay in your own browser’s storage on that device and are never sent to us. Clear them from the lesson or project page, or by clearing your browser’s site data. On a shared device, remember to do this.

What we collect when you create an account

• Account details: your email address or phone number, your name, and your password, which is stored only as a one-way hash. If you sign in with Google, we receive the details Google shares for sign-in: your email address, name, profile picture link and Google account ID.
• Username, if you choose one, and which account it belongs to.
• Learning records: your lesson notes, which knowledge checks you passed, and the projects you submit.
• Certificates: the name you ask us to print, the course and the issue date.
• Payments, once paid access opens: an order reference, the amount, its status and the payment provider’s transaction ID. We never receive your card or mobile-money details.
• Security records: to slow down password guessing, we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of the sign-in identifier or account used for a short period, normally about ten minutes.
• Connection details: like any website, our server receives your IP address and browser information with each request, and records error messages in service logs we use to find and fix problems.
• Sign-in cookies: strictly necessary cookies that keep you signed in and protect sign-in links. We use no advertising or analytics cookies and load no third-party tracking scripts.

Why we use it

• To provide the service you signed up for: saving your progress, notes and projects, and issuing certificates you have earned.
• To keep accounts secure and prevent abuse.
• To count how many lessons are being completed, as a measure of whether Learntova works. This is kept per account in hashed form and is deleted with your account.
• To take payment and unlock paid lessons, once paid access opens.

We do not sell your data, show advertising, or use your notes and projects to train AI models.

Public certificate verification

A certificate is only created after you agree that its name, course and issue date can be seen by anyone who has its verification link. Nothing else about you, your project or your account is shown. You can hide a certificate from verification at any time; deleting your account removes it completely.

Where your data is kept, and who else handles it

• The website, our database and our sign-in service run on our own server, rented from Contabo in the European Union. The database and sign-in service are our own installation of Supabase.
• Cloudflare manages our domain name and carries encrypted traffic between you and our server, so it handles your IP address and request details in transit.
• Google handles sign-in if you choose “Continue with Google”.
• Flutterwave will process payments once paid access opens, under its own privacy policy. We send it your name and email address so it can issue your receipt.
• Resend delivers sign-in, confirmation and password-reset messages to your email address.

Because these providers operate in several countries, your data may be processed outside Rwanda.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and learning records until you delete your account. Encrypted backups of our database are kept for 35 days, so deleted data disappears from backups within 35 days of deletion. Service logs are size-limited and automatically overwritten, so older entries disappear as new ones are written.

Your choices and rights

• Delete your account yourself from your account settings. This permanently removes your progress, notes, projects, certificates and verification links, your username, and your sign-in account.
• Get a copy of your data, or correct it, by emailing [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.
• Object to or ask us to restrict how we use your data, by emailing the same address.
• If you are in Rwanda, you can also complain to the National Cyber Security Authority, which supervises personal data protection.

Children

Learntova is built for working adults and is not directed at children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you before it takes effect.
